Mary Colbenson, M.A., LAMFT
I was born and raised in a small town in southeastern Minnesota and moved to St. James in 1989. I planned to stay a short time and return to my hometown area but fell in love with the area and have made this my permanent home. I enjoy reading, camping, cooking, the Minnesota Twins and spending time with my family.
I received my Bachelor of Social Work degree from Winona State University in 1987. I worked as a social worker for 26 years before returning to graduate school in 2015. I am currently in my final year at North Central University and plan to graduate in August 2018.
I have been working with Watonwan County Human Services for 28 years and have had the opportunity to provide assistance to elderly and disabled individuals and their families, as well as individuals who struggle with a wide variety of mental illnesses. I am currently a graduate practicum student with Eunoia Family Resource Center.
