Kayla Vandromme, B.S.W., Intern
ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Kayla Vandromme (BSW) and I am a student of a Master of Social Work (MSW) School of Social Work program. I believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive space where they feel heard, accepted, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. I was drawn to social work because I have always been passionate about helping people through difficult seasons and supporting them as they discover their own strengths and resilience.
Outside of the office, you’ll usually find me exploring the outdoors, hiking, camping, traveling, or learning about new cultures and perspectives. I enjoy reading, crafting, and spending time with my family, friends, my cat and dog. These experiences remind me of the importance of curiosity, connection, and lifelong learning.
EDUCATION
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, in 2019. I’m currently pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Kentucky with a graduation date of Summer 2027.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work alongside individuals and families during some of life’s most challenging moments. My professional experience includes working with youth involved in the juvenile justice system, individuals receiving mental health and substance use treatment, hospice patients and their families, and adults receiving community-based mental health services. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every person’s story is unique and deserves to be met with compassion, respect, and understanding.
MY VISION
I enjoy working with adults, families, individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, grief and loss, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences, building resilience, and working toward meaningful and lasting change.
Whether you’re seeking support during a difficult time or looking to grow into the best version of yourself, I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you on your journey toward healing, hope, and personal growth.
