Katie Christianson, M.S., Intern
I lived in St. Cloud for many years while going to college. I have moved south to a small town near New Ulm, MN. I enjoy small-town life and the abundance of nature included. My hobbies include spending time outdoors, hiking, fishing, reading, art, photography, video games, movies, mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jui Jitsu.
I graduated from St. Cloud State with a bachelor of science degree in community psychology in 2014. I am currently enrolled in the graduate program for clinical mental health counselling through St. Cloud State. I anticipate graduating in the spring of 2020. My areas of interest include codependency, anxiety, depression, group work and mind-body connection.
I worked for 4.5 years as a crisis response team member for the Four County Crisis Response Team. This work included crisis phone counselling, mobile crisis response and residential crisis treatment. I enjoyed meeting a wide range of people with many different situations and mental health concerns. I also have experience working in intensive residential treatment services (IRTS). Through this work, I supported people in creating the life they want to live through psycho-education on healthy living skills and counselling.
