Mary Colbenson, M.A., LAMFT, Intern
I was born and raised in a small town in southeastern Minnesota and moved to St. James in 1989. I planned to stay a short time and return to my hometown area but fell in love with the area and have made this my permanent home. I enjoy reading, camping, cooking, the Minnesota Twins and spending time with my family.
I received my Bachelor of Social Work degree from Winona State University in 1987. I worked as a social worker for 26 years before returning to graduate school in 2015. I graduated with my master’s degree in 2018 and am currently in the process of obtaining my marriage and family therapist licensure.
I have been working with Watonwan County Human Services since 1989 and have had the opportunity to provide assistance to elderly and disabled individuals and their families, as well as individuals who struggle with a wide variety of mental illnesses. I have been an intern at Eunoia Family Resource Center since 2017..
