ABOUT ME

My name is Matt Mihlbauer.  I am originally from Milwaukee, WI.  My family and I moved to Minnesota in 2009 and to New Ulm in 2019.  I am a proud husband and father of 2 children and one golden doodle. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, running, reading, watching, coaching and playing sports, along with listening to, writing, performing and recording music.

EDUCATION

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Wisconsin – Madison, a master’s degree in social work from Portland State University, Portland, OR, and an LGSW, working towards an LICSW.

WORK EXPERIENCE

I have a wide variety of work experience with adults and children, including working as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher, working at a psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents, working for the Boys & Girls club after school and summer programs, working with adults experiencing chemical dependency, coaching boys and girls basketball.
