Nicole Koenig, B.S., Intern
I grew up in St. James and have stayed close to home by moving to the Mankato area after graduating high school. In my free time, I spend it with my friends or family. My hobbies include snowmobiling in the winter, sand volleyball in the summer and organizing my house all year.
I went to Winona State for two years, then transferred to Minnesota State University – Mankato to finish my bachelor of science degree in child development and family studies. I received my diploma at the end of 2019. I currently am a master’s student at Saint Mary’s University, working towards my master of social work degree (M.S.W.). After graduation, I will pursue licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). My plans are to focus on youth cliental.
I have been working at different daycares since the age of 17, working with all different age groups. In Winona, I volunteered at Kids First, which helped with the minority groups of the area in receiving after-school care along with academic help. In Mankato, I joined the Child Development Club and participated in different volunteer experiences helping the youth of Mankato. Gaining experience from all of these different activities, I am looking forward to gaining more clinical skills at Eunoia.
